How to Use Books about Bears with Children

Here are some beary fun ways to bring the stories to life:

  • 🐻 Ask Open-Ended Questions: After reading, ask: What would you pack for a bear adventure? or How do you think the bear felt in the story? Use Turn and Talk to share different feelings or favorite bear moments.
  • 🍯 Engage in Bear-Themed Activities: Have a teddy bear picnic, make bear masks, sort bears by size, or create a hibernation den craft. You can also tie in counting activities, forest walks, or build-your-own-bear stories.
